I love the feeling of a silk blouse, so when I spotted this one in Zara (hooray for sales!) I knew it would be mine. Even though it was freezing, I decided to wear it with nothing underneath, and knowing how cold it was, I solved the situation by layering it with a black blazer and a good coat. It is really bad that I wasn't able to take more pictures, but it was about 0ºC so yes, I was about to be completely frozen as we took them on top of the Collserola mountain, where I also took this picture of Barcelona.

Things that made me happy

{Freshly baked bread from El Crustó}

{Finding the snake black leather belt I really liked from Zara 70% off}

{My boyfriend surprising me with a cupcake from Cup&Cake Barcelona}

{Going literally "on top" of Barcelona (the Agbar tower can be seen on the left of the picture and the Maphre Towers on the middle)}

{Fleur Chérie gel and body lotion, from l'Occitane}

{New necklace from Banjhara Formentera}

{Simpson's drawings on a bench in my college's campus}

So, what made you smile this week?

I'm reluctant to believe that there's someone who never has a day when nothing fits right, everything looks too dark, too light, too wide, too tight, or simply like you have a closet full of nothing. That's exactly how I was feeling the day I took these pictures. After trying three different outfits, I put together the the first pieces I came upon that I knew wouldn't look that bad together, and I was ready to go.

I was wearing this beautiful pencil skirt from Zara (that I used to wear non-stop last year) and I paired it with a simple blouse from Zara too, a faux fur vest, a MSK bag (also seen here) and Swarovsky hoop earrings.

Let it shine

I took these pictures just a few days ago, when I went with one of my girlfriends for a little shopping spree and a walk through Les Rambles. I was wearing my new skirt from Zara (gift from the boyfriend), random tights and shirt, Mustang booties and a Necklace from Macy's.

After the holiday season, everything seems less shinier and sparkly, and that’s probably the reason why I’ve been so drawn lately to this golden nail polish, that I bought from H&M about three years ago (I think it’s impressive it hasn’t dried out yet).

Now that the exams are coming to an end, I can wait to:

+ Take walks on longer days in Les Rambles, Passeig de Gràcia, and alike.

+ Discover new coffe shops and Restaurants in the city.

+ Have long talks and nights out with my best friends.

+ Try new recipes (cupcakes, muffins, anyone?).

+ Watch all of the movies I’ve already downloaded but haven’t been able to see.

+ Stay in bed until late in the morning and wake up to a delicious breakfast and a stack of magazines.

During the most stressful time of the year (a.k.a exams period for me) it's good to have some little things that sit around us and simply put a smile on our faces while being surrounded by books, notes, work, or whatever the case is.

{Scented candles}

{Patterned scarfs to wrapp around the neck while studying}

{Milk and Croissants for breakfast}

{Pink nailpolish}

And of course, your lovely comments :)

So, what are your tips to deal with the "unbearable" stress of exams and tough weeks?

Muy Mío

After an exhausting exam, and with the intense need of some relaxing time, my boyfriend and I headed out to the streets and specifically to a coffe shop I had only seen from the street but never entered. The place is called Muy Mío and I was instantly drawn to it for its exquisite decoration, the use of cake pedestals (for some unknown reason I love them) and the food and drinks variety.

For the occasion, I wore my new silver sweater from Mango. I absolutely love the color that though it cannot really be appreciated in the pictures, shines in a very specific kind of way, and I combined it with simple black skinnies and my ankle Zara boots seen in the previous post.
